A (very) Brief History

In 1967, Mansfield, Ohio area band 'Sir
Timothy and the Royals' signed on with New York's Super K
Productions, at the time one of the largest and most prolific
entertainment brokers in the industry. After being renamed 'The Ohio
Express' (because Super K management felt that 'Sir Timothy and the
Royals' sounded "too British"), the band began opening for some of
the most popular artists of the day. With the release of their
first single, Beg, Borrow and Steal later that year,
The Ohio
Express began getting the attention due this talented Ohio
band.
Following the release of Chewy Chewy and Yummy Yummy Yummy
in 1968, The Ohio Express became a world wide sensation,
going on to release more than a dozen hit singles and several albums
between 1968 and 1973, earning an enviable ten gold records along
the way.
Today,
Tim Corwin's Ohio Express features talented professional musicians entertaining rock & roll fans like never before.
With two keyboards, thumping bass, dynamic lead guitar, explosive
percussion and five part harmonies, The Ohio Express is
one rock band you should not miss. Leader Tim Corwin sums up the
band's philosophy simply and directly: "Music
is our passion, and entertaining you is our reward".
